School Groups - Field Trips

Welcome to our 2010 Spring and Fall tours.

It is our desire that your trip to the farm be educational as well as a fun learning experience. Education is very important to us. Thus, we believe that we have designed a farm tour that will be a memorable learning experience for school age children.

TOUR DATES:

  1. Mid-April to end of the school year.
  2. September to November 2nd.

TAKE HOME:

  1. Spring Tour: A plant started from seed (flower seed, bean seed, etc.)
  2. September: A small bag of goodies picked from the field.
  3. October: Their very own pumpkin.
  4. Farmer John’s Produce and Nursery Coloring Book.
  5. A class pumpkin for classroom projects.
  6. Most important – A lot of good memories!

TIME ON THE FARM:

Tours are approximately 1 hour long. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour. You will want to enjoy your entire scheduled time. There is a picnic area available if you would like to plan for extra time before or after your tour to have a snack or sack lunch.

PRICES:

Each child (and sibling over 3 years old), are $2.50 each. Teachers and chaperones are free. Payment is due when you arrive at the farm. One person from each group needs to collect the money from each person participating in tour. The staff person in charge of group needs to be given the money before tour can begin.
